About the work

Around the time, the movie Black Panther came out, I felt the energy shifting in the world. It felt like Black creatives were finally starting to get recognized on a much larger scale and that they no longer had to dilute their vision for white audiences.

In my career as a graphic designer, I've experienced being told not to include Black people in a project because it would send the "wrong message". I wasn't brave enough to push back, back then but from this point on, I will always be unapologetically Black.
